The Lab The home dog with room to bite
The home dog with room to bite
Tampa Bay has a short path to an outright win if Pittsburgh's depleted receiving group cannot carry the road offense.
Up 1.5 units going into this board.
The price comes first. Tampa Bay is a home dog in a game where Pittsburgh arrives with a thin receiving group, while the opponent’s case rests on a veteran quarterback and a short number.
This is not a case for pretending the Buccaneers have solved every problem. It is a case for taking the team with a live route to the finish when the favorite has fewer ways to absorb a bad afternoon.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I will take Tampa Bay Buccaneers at +124 at DraftKings. Pittsburgh has Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek ruled out, with Michael Pittman Jr. already on injured reserve. That narrows the visiting passing options. Tampa Bay gets this at home after Jalon Daniels showed better passing work in the Dallas win. The price pays for the Buccaneers to turn a compressed Steelers attack into a game they control late.
The weakness is plain. Tampa Bay has not earned blind faith, and Daniels has only two starts in place of Baker Mayfield. Still, the short spread makes the outright ask reasonable. I am on Tampa Bay Buccaneers at +124.
What beats it: Pittsburgh’s veteran quarterback exploiting Antoine Winfield Jr.’s absence could overwhelm the secondary, while another Daniels start could show the Dallas result was not a stable offensive answer. Mayfield’s final designation and Winfield’s availability remain unresolved.
The favorite has the cleaner public story. The dog has the price, the home field, and a visiting offense missing receivers. That is enough for me.
