The NBA Prop Desk
The NBA Prop Desk takes one NBA game a night and puts a board of its player props through the panel, with a Pick or a Lean on the props where the panel makes a call. Members read each board before tip, and once the game is final the graded board is open to everyone.

Free and members
Free: the graded board once the game is final, with the result of each call, and the NBA desk's record, kept apart from the NFL desk, from the game Picks and from the Picks record.
Members: the NBA Prop Desk before tip. One NBA game a night, a board of its player props with a Pick or a Lean where the panel makes a call, the price and book on each play, and what Ace, Stack and Buck each wrote.
Words on this page
- Pick
- The desk's strongest call on a board. It goes on the NBA desk's record.
- Lean
- Which way the panel leans on a prop. A Lean is not a Pick: it carries a W, L or P mark once the game is final and is never counted in the record.
- No call
- A prop on the board where the panel made no call.
- Over and under
- The side of the line. Over 24.5 points wins when the player scores 25 or more. A line on a whole number that the player lands on is a push.
- Price and book
- The American odds on the play and the book that posted them: DraftKings, FanDuel or BetMGM. Each board prints the date it was priced at its bottom right.
- Units
- Each Pick risks one unit at its posted price. A win pays the profit that price implies, a loss costs the unit, and a push or a void pays nothing.
- Void
- The player did not play, so the prop is not counted.
- Tip
- The scheduled start of the game, in Eastern and Pacific time.
- Threes made and the combos
- Threes made counts made three-point shots. The combos add points, rebounds and assists, in pairs or all three.
Where the numbers come from. Prop prices are our own captures at DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, and each board prints the date it was priced. Every desk call grades at its posted price against the official box score. The NBA desk's record is kept apart from the NFL desk, from the game Picks and from the Picks record. Research and context, never a guarantee. 21+.
